Hey Look---->Dress Coats, and soon to be more!

I has been way too long since I have posted on this site. So I thought I would put a few things up. This photo is from many years ago when our daughter Amber was in dance (1989 or 90-so don't mind my crazy hair-do LoL!) and had a holiday performance to do. Boy I look tired in that pic-but then I was super mom! Amber's sweet little Burgundy coat is one I made for her (those reproduction buttons on it cost a fortune-more then the fabric) and we still have it to pass onto her little daughter Emily. It was a little big on Amber at that time but she was able to get more then one season out of it. I know the photos are not the best-sorry. The tiny velveteen coat was made from a formal I had when I was a teen and had saved it for the fabric. When my daughter was born it was recycled and I made her, her very first dress coat. It has seen better days, but we cannot part with it! I do love to recycle fabric and buttons!

I am going to start making some of my special little dress coats for sale here soon as I have my shop set up. I know it is late in the season but my designs will be time less for the most part (and hey I will have a jump on for next year).

If you have been reading my other blog http://yakiddyyakyak.blogspot.com/ you will see I have been trying to do a bit too much right now being the holidays and all. I need to get my "big project" done to properly set my shop up. It will help to have everything that goes along with the holidays behind me as well. Then I can devote myself to getting my shop up.

I am sure I will have a few that I will have a bit of a twist. I am going to be using vintage patterns for my designs-this should be fun.

I also do some pretty lil fancy dresses for church or special events, and some cute casual dresses too. Some of my designs will be limited and I will make only so many of them. It will depend on what fabric amounts I have of any particular type and color. I am not one to mass produce something-I like to have each item I make be unique in some way. I am in the process of filling up my stock (eBay) so if any of you gals out there that sew have some good sources please let me know. Of course I will not just be sewing dresses, and coats, there will be other fun stuff like dolls and baby items! I only wish I would have been taking photos of all my creations that I have made as gifts or was paid to make so that I could share! So there ya have it a little peek at what will be coming once my shop is set up.

Thanks to all of you blogger buddies who have stuck by me and have been so patient! No worries I eventually will be posting like crazy! LOL!

I hope you all are having a wonderful week! It snowed here this weekend-love it!
Hopefully I can get those dolls and their clothes done and posted soon too.
Have a rockin week kids!~Tam :)
